Changes for Residents & Providers of SDA housing

There are significant changes on the horizon for both Providers of SDA housing and SDA residents.

These changes, due to come into effect in January 2020 will ensure that providers are meeting the NDIS standards. Likewise, the changes will ensure that residents have an agreement which at a minimum affords them the same rights as anyone renting a standard rental property, or better still an SDA residency agreement which will give residents additional rights and protections on top of the Rental Tenancy ACT.

Changes like these are important to ensure protection for residents and to ensure providers of SDA housing adhere to the unique requirements often needed within the SDA housing sector.
